BUILDING CODE ENERGY ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Green Energy Act, 2009 amended the Building Code Act, 1992 to establish the Building Code Energy Advisory Council and to require reviews of the Building Code s energy conservation provisions within six months and at five year intervals.
   
The Council will provide advice to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on energy conservation measures that could be considered for Ontario s Building Code.

Members of the Building Code Energy Advisory Council will be appointed by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, with the first meeting expected to take place in Fall 2009.  Members of the Council will be selected from applications received by the Public Appointments Secretariat. In order to be considered for membership on the council, you should apply online at the Public Appointments Secretariat website at:    www.pas.gov.on.ca
